• Right, this is a weird one, I think. I’m new to WordPress so bear with me if the terminology is incorrect.

I have verified my site with WordPress and their technical team has confirmed that is the case, but following on from verifying the account I have encountered the following issue. Even after verifying my account, I am receiving this message when I use the standard exiledblade.com email, or the connection is timing out when using a https:// address.

This doesn’t happen on mobile data or via a mobile hotspot, nor does it seem to happen via other home/public WiFi networks. It is only on my own local WiFi through Virgin Media in the UK.

Virgin Media have spent the best part of an hour troubleshooting various things over the phone without finding an issue and without seeing that exiledblade.com is blocked.

I am at a loss as to what to do. My network security does not have the website blocked, either.

I have reset the router numerous times and I have changed the wireless settings to allow for wider bandwidths etc., without luck.

No other website is currently affected by this issue except my own wordpress one!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

looks like the site you shared is set up on WordPress.com
try this link for support: https://en.support.wordpress.com

(this support forum is for www.ads-software.com self-hosted sites)

If I understand the question right the problem is with the DNS (even though it’s fine here)… If it was me I’d sign that up with CloudFlare if I could… Not real sure about that with certain WordPress dot com hosting.

Letting CloudFlare do the DNS will probably cause Virgin’s resolvers to reload and flush things there which is where I suspect the problem lies.

I realize the site is hosted at WordPress dot com but still ‘a problem is a problem is a problem’ and the trick above might help someone with a similar problem down the road on a self-hosted site.

Another thing you might do is switch your DNS server choice(s) on the machine(s) experiencing this kind of problem. I’ll leave that up to the user as that varies depending on PC, Laptop, Chromebook, iDevice, etc.
