• Hi recently I set up a new wordpress website: https://www.cycd.org.uk
and my client has been getting the email below, can you tell me who is sending these emails to him and if someone is trying to hack the site and how I stop this from happening?

You may login to the site to manually release the lock if necessary.

  • You may login to the site to manually release the lock if necessary.

That sounds to me like a message coming from a security plugin or a security service at the host set to do exactly what it has done in order to stop someone (or some machine) from repeatedly trying to log in while guessing usernames and passwords…and no, that does not mean a site has been hacked.
