Website is approx 6 months old. A local business. Worked hard on critical pages’ content and On-Page SEO using Yoast Pro with keyword and key-phrases. FWIW, passed all Yoast’s tests.

I know not to expect instant ranking but nothing happened on ANY of the KWs for several months. Searches on keywords and phrases used in the content result in nothing, except our GMB listing. In fact the only Google search result was for two words (self defense) of the site name on page 5, not really what we want to rank for.

Yesterday I checked the site using SEO-Quake KW Density and see that the ONLY KWs listed in that report are internal or back-end WordPress related words, file and plugin names, etc.,

      hundreds

of them. Using other Site/SEO tools report the same as well as words like ‘cookie”, etc.

Here’s a screenshot with an example.

What causes this? What can I do? I am not a developer or SEO pro. I have no clue why this is happening but have to fix it.

    Any help sincerely appreciated.

  • Hi @glsd,

Sorry to hear that you’re not getting the results that you’re expecting. Giving specific SEO advice like which keyphrases to use is a bit outside of the technical support that we can offer, but we’d be glad to take a look.

Can you send us a focus keyphrase and an example URL that isn’t appearing in search results? That will help us investigate the issue.

SEOQuake’s tools aren’t related to the ones in Yoast SEO, so if you have questions about the results in a report, we recommend contacting SEOQuake.
