My site won't load

Reinstall WP core (that is the files in wp-admin and wp-includes).

Thanks for that. I just tried doing what they recommended in that post, and still can’t even get the admin dashboard to come up…

I just posted on the site yesterday, and it was all fine. Then when I was finished, I clicked on one of the widget updates (I don’t remember which one), and since then, I just get the Fatal Error message no matter what I try.

Try downloading a new copy of WordPress to your local computer. Then, using FTP or other file manager access, upload all files & folders – except the wp-content folder. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

It’s always a good idea to backup your site before doing the above.

Secure Connection Failed

I updated my site and tried to make some changes and now my site is completely down and I can’t even log in. Can anyone help please. I’m not very technical and just do the basics. Someone else designed it several years ago. Thanks!

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.

I wish I had any idea how to follow the advice! I am just a beginner.

@jynhar – do you have FTP access to your site – you need to get that set up first – contact your hosting company if you don’t know how to do that. Here’s some info about your end of it:
