    Hello Jetpack team, we’ve noticed the numbers have gone out of sync since we set up a staging site in April 2023. Would be great if you can help us restore the past numbers.

    I checked your staging site, and it does not have any stats records. At this point, nothing makes me suspect that setting up a staging site affected your stats.

    I also had a look at your stats history, and it seems stable from April 2023 till now. Would you agree? On the other hand, there is indeed a drop between March 2023 and before and past April 2023.

    Do you see any other reasons your traffic might have dropped at that time? I see that you have a GDPR plugin installed. I wonder if that’s related. Some GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent plugins can prevent page visit tracking until user consent is provided. That is known to reduce recorded visits.?

    Hello Paulina,

    Thanks for getting back. Something quite interesting had happened last week before you replied to this thread, the numbers suddenly went back up to the level it’s supposed to be. Not sure if it was a momentary hiccup on the system or if someone worked their magic on your end. But either way we are grateful the numbers have been restored.

    One last thing, do you think you can help me edit out the URL shared in my initial post? Thanks in advance!

    Hi there, @ohkjames,

    I have just checked your Jetpack connection, and it looks like Jetpack is not installed. Can you confirm this? If so, do you need help re-connecting Jetpack?

    As for removing your site URL in your initial post, I flagged this to the moderators’ attention so they can do it for us.
