My theme gets jacked every couple days?

  • (note – I know I need to upgrade but Im still scared)

    In a blog that has been around a while with the same theme, something strange has started to happen. Every other day or so the style dissapears. When visiting the site, its just plain white background, blue links, no formatting.

    I re-upload the full theme folder and its fine. Then a day or so later, it back to plain text with no formatting…and I re-upload again and its fine again.

    What might be causing this strange situation?

  • You have probably been hacked. That tends to happen when you run out of date software.

    There is no way to tell without seeing the site though.

    Hmm, something might be causing this, like a plugin or you might be getting hacked.

    First of all, change your webhosting account’s password including the ftp’s and CHMOD the theme folder to 755.
