    Hi guys,

Thanks for taking a look at my issue. I am trying to translate the Complianz cookie banner but it has my translation backwords. It installed the Dutch strings on the English version of the website. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    All the best,

    Hallo Stijn,

    We’re happy to help!

Could you please tell me what the base language of the site is? I have seen this happening before when the site language was changed from (in this case) Dutch to English. It is essentially a WPML issue.

    Groeten,
    Leon

    Hi Leon,

Thanks for the quick response. The base language is Dutch, but English was added later on as a second language through WPML.

    All the best,

    Stijn

    Hoi @stijnjasper,

I never tried this, but you could use the buttons below:

Either delete the strings, and resave the cookie banner. The strings should be registered again, hopefully now in Dutch.

Or change to another language.. which I guess should do what you’ll need, but like I said. Never tried it..

@stijnjasper this is essentially a WPML issue. I have seen this happening before, but we’re now guessing how to solve the issue with WPML.

I know that WPML support is very responsive and helpful, they can probably solve this issue way faster than we can.

Though we would be interested to know what solved the issue!

    Regards,
    Leon

    Hi @stijnjasper,

Did @aahulsebos’s suggestion(s) concerning the buttons in the screenshot/re-registering the Cookie Banner strings in WPML help solve the issue?

I’ll mark this thread as resolved for now, but feel free to reach out at any time if we can provide further assistance.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno
