My Twenty Fourteen Child Theme is Not Responsive

I have edited the twenty fourteen theme and made it a child theme. I have done all the neccesary css coding. However, I thought that since the Parent theme is supposed to be responsive, the child theme would adapt these settings. It has not.

Can someone please help!? I am losing my mind trying to figure out what exact coding I need or if I am missing something!
