My website disappeared from google search results

    Hello!

    My website is new and it was improving its position in google. Our homepage has always been on the first page especially for the keyphrase used (it’s pretty niche). From two weeks ago my homepage disappeared from google search results for all keyphrases used.

    A week and a few days before that we added more text to our homepage for SEO reasons and optimized it with Yoast SEO premium.

    We received no manual penalty or notification from google.

    We suspect it was because of the new text on the homepage and that we suffered an algorithmic penalty. In that case, I have two questions:

    1. Does changing the homepage affect the ranking of other pages?
    2. Algorithim Penalty for one page/homepage affect the ranking of the other pages?
