• Resolved PhoebeS

Something has happened to the front end of my website at https://www.agassiz.org. I noticed that the posts were missing, and then I realized that the entire website, excluding the homepage, is gone! Where to? I noticed this BEFORE I upgraded to 3.8. In fact, I upgraded because I thought maybe it was one of the plug-ins causing the issue, but that wasn’t the case.

The whole site is in place on the back end. Something isn’t connecting between the two.

I’m not a coder, and I don’t even know where to begin looking! Can anyone help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Okay. I’ll work through this list.

    Thank you!

Thank you, esmi. Deactivating all the plugins worked. I’m not sure which was the trouble -I ended up activating them all again and the site seems to be working fine.

Glad to hear that your site is working again. ??
