My website is gone after update!

  • I updated my theme today and my site is completely gone, the front page just says “Not found”…what your looking for is not here. Even if it blew all my personal stuff away and I needed to just add it all back into the pre-sets I would be ok with that, I planned to rebuild it soon anyway but there is nothing anymore, none of the pre-sets that come with the theme, just a blank front page with the error above, almost like something is completely missing. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but it doesn’t work, its just completely gone, I loved this theme so I really want to be able to use it still but I don’t know what happened!

    I tried other themes, they all work fine. I upgraded to 3.7.15 and I believe I was using 3.7.12?? I think, I can’t remember but I thought I remembered it being 12, the craziest thing ever.

    Yes, it was 12, is there any way to go back to the old version? Something happened within the upgrade.

    Does Atahualpa show up in your installed themes in the Admin panel? What theme folders show when you look at your WP-content/themes folder via FTP?

    You can get the older version from the author’s website and install the zip file.

    It does show up in my installed themes in the admin panel, I have several themes installed so their are a lot in the folder, I am going to clear it out soon, everything was working perfectly until I upgraded Atahualpa, as a matter a fact when I activate that theme my galleries still work and child pages, its just the front page, completely blank with that error message, no layout or anything, just a white page that says the Not Found error message.

    Ok I went back and installed another version and I see something on the front page now, but where I would like to install my custom logo it is just showing a little black X, this was the whole reason I upgraded, thinking that’s why it was showing up but it messed everything up, any ideas why its showing a little X where my logo should be? Can’t get a logo to upload there.

    A few versions back the location for images was changed. The options page gives instructions on where to create the new folder. Once you do that then upload the images to this new location.
