Hi! My website is not commercial in nature, and I’d like to have access to Jetpack so I can check stats and whatnot.

    Hi there @rosslaurencewolfe,

I can confirm that your site is classified as personal/non-commercial in our records.

In order to access our stats, please make sure to reconnect it to Jetpack (I detected issues that require reconnection) from your WP Admin at Jetpack > My Jetpack. You can read more in Reconnect Jetpack.

To use Jetpack Stats for non-commercial sites, please follow the flow on this page to certify that your site is non-commercial:

    https://wordpress.com/stats/purchase/

    1. Check the boxes that apply to your site, which make it non-commercial

    2. You will be given the opportunity to make a contribution toward the service if you would like. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!

Let us know if you have other questions or if there’s anything else we can do to help!

I seem to be having trouble reconnecting my Jetpack in general and would appreciate live support. Could I schedule an appointment to go over this with a specialist?

    Hi there, @rosslaurencewolfe,

Sorry about the connection issue! We don’t provide bespoke appointments for fixing issues: free users can keep talking to us via this forum (as you’re doing), while paid customers can contact us via email.

That said, I checked the Jetpack connection and it looks like you may need to give Jetpack a fresh reset.

Can you please try deactivating and deleting Jetpack entirely, and then trying to reinstall it? You won’t lose any data by doing it.

To remove Jetpack, you can FTP into your site and delete the folder wp-content/plugins/jetpack. (If you’re not sure how to do this, ask your hosting company for help.)

After that’s done, you can reinstall Jetpack by following these instructions:

    https://jetpack.me/support/installing-jetpack/

Let me know if that solves the problem. ?? Thanks!

Sorry if I sound like a total novice here, but what is “FTP”?

I’ve tried reconnecting to Jetpack repeatedly, but it always fails to. Admittedly I hadn’t logged into my dashboard for nearly a year, but before Jetpack was always connected and there were never any issues.

    Hi there, @rosslaurencewolfe,

Sorry if I sound like a total novice here, but what is “FTP”?

No reason to apologise! I owe you an apology as that wasn’t clear. The FTP is the way to access your servers and site installation via the hosting provider dashboard/panel. Instead of accessing your site via WP Admin or WordPress.com (via Jetpack), you can login to your hosting provider account and check your WordPress site, folders, etc via that dashboard.

By accessing your site via the host dashboard, you will be able to delete the Jetpack folder entirely so you can start the Jetpack installation and connection from the very scratch. I recommend asking your hosting provider to help you with that if you are not sure how to do it ??

Let us know how you get on!

    Hey @rosslaurencewolfe,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
