    Hello there, @dropswisdom,

I reviewed your site and noticed that you have a Bitcoin donation widget on the site sidebar. Since that is considered a way to generate revenue, the system flags your site as commercial.

You also have Adsense running on your site – we spot the code in the pagesource of your site.

Free stats plans are for truly personal sites only; asking commercial sites to pay is the only way we can keep this feature available to people who run hobby blogs and similar.

    Please upgrade to a?paid plan?to continue using Jetpack stats.?<span style=”box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;”>For more information, see our?help article</span>.

Alternatively, you can remove any source of donation or revenue generation (such as Adsense), and we’ll review the site again to see if it fits the non-commercial plan status.

Hope that’s all clear! Let us know if you have other questions or if there’s anything else we can do to help!?

Thank you Stef. I will proceed to remove jetpack from my website. By the way, my AdSense sadly does not work properly, and my traffic is pretty low anyways. And since when does a donation button makes a website a “commercial” site?

    Hi there, @dropswisdom,

If your Adsense doesn’t work properly, you might consider removing it completely, so that will facilitate your site fit the non-commercial requirements.

And since when does a donation button makes a website a “commercial” site?

A commercial site is one that you try to make or raise money from. This commonly includes selling a product or service, soliciting donations or sponsorships, or showing ads or affiliate links. We have some more info about that on this page.

That said, we will be very sorry to see you go by deactivating Jetpack completely: we see and respect your position about the Stats and where this is coming from, however, we’d love you to keep using all the other free features that Jetpack still can offer to you ??
