My website stopped working

  • Yesterday I was trying to delete the date and time of my comment loop and then I did the update but my website stopped working. I do not know how I can fix it. I cannot even access my wp-admin

  • You’ll have to go in through FTP and fix it. Hopefully, you created a child account, in which case all you have to do is copy over the file you changed from the original theme, to the child theme. Otherwise, you’ll have to FTP the file you changed, change it with a text editor, then copy it back.

    How can I access FTP to fix it?

    Hey redpandagency, I would suggest using a client such as FileZila, you can read a how to here

    After you FTP in you will need to locate the file you’ve changed and use a .txt editor, like Augustin56 mentioned, and either revert the change you’ve made or tweak it so that it doesn’t cause issues.

    My website has been hacked with this code

    i have now deleted the site from the server

    Now i need to find a way to remove the hack code from the site i saved
    then I can upload it

    Do you known how I can remove this code?
