    Hi everyone!
I really desperately need help with this… please please help me. I have twenty eleven and My website looks great on Chrome however my navbar is not correct in IE9 or Firefox. I definitely do not have a developer and am basically a newbie at all of this. I am devastated that it is not working properly. If there is anything I can do or a code that i can add please tell me. I do not know where else to turn.

Please describe the issue more. We all have different perspectives on what looks right.

For example on chrome my navigation bar looks “normal” … it is going straight across and everything looks neat and tidy. and everything is in place.

On Ie9 and Firefox, my navigation bar is not straight across instead it is showing it “bullet-form” going vertical down the navigation bar and is missing the “tabbed look” like in chrome.
Also, my Copyright ? 2011-2012 · All Rights Reserved · Happy Hearts LLC line is supposed to be in the bottom left corner however it is in the top right corner under the nav. bar.

Yes, I see the problem in Firefox. Have you modified theme files including style.css?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Looks like some of your CSS is not working – which may be due to errors in the CSS file. Try validating it to find those:

@wpyogi I am trying the validation tool you suggested! (Wow I didn’t know this existed) thank you so much! There are quite a bit of errors there… Or correct the errors and see what happens … it says there are 32 errors and 95 warnings :(. Would I be better off re-installing my wordpress on my site and starting all over?

@kmessinger I have done the first of your three suggestions … I am working on the other two. ?? Thank you so much

and yes @wpyogi I have modified the theme files in style.css ??

That’s one reason why we recommended a while ago that you use a child theme.. As for the errors, you don’t need to fix all the ones that appear – in the results below, just fix the first three – then validate again and see if there are other NEW errors (some of the errors are not really errors and they are in the theme files – not your doing):

Okay guys now I feel like an idiot…lol I fixed the top three and tada!!! IT WORKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! I cannot thank you enough! And now see the value in having a child theme! thank you so so much!!!!
