  • If you installed WordPress with “localhost” as the address, it will only function properly from a browser on the machine it’s installed on.

Yes I did install it with local host as the address.so what can I do about it ?

If it’s just for use inside your own network, the easiest solution might be to assign the machine you installed WordPress on a static internal/private IP address, and then install WordPress using that address. Then you can access it from your own network using something like – https://192.168.x.x/wordpress/

Anything beyond that (meaning if it needs to resolve using a domain name), and you may need to get your company IT staff involved to help with that.

When you say install using that address how do you mean ?
Because currently I do access it by the address 192.168.1.125/WordPress which is not a static address yet,I’ll do dat soon ,but again when you say install WordPress using that address what do you mean by that ?

You can either do a search and replace on your WordPress database, and replace all instances of the word “localhost” with “192.168.1.125”, or you can reinstall WordPress – only this time when you run the install routine, do it from a browser on another computer on your LAN.
