My WordPress Site, My Own Theme, Please Review!

  • I started using WordPress not too long ago. After familarising myself with the pages and theming, I wrote a theme for this blog which I share with my friend Jasper.

  • The text in your sidebar is hard to read (dark on dark).

    You should also make your site valid.

    Besides that, I like it. ??

    That search box is pretty hard to spot

    Thank you for your replies. I will make the necessary changes.

    Traditionally I don’t like black themes. A black background with white font makes for short-term reading rather than long-term. The layout is nice and I really like that dark read background. The sidebar is hard to deal with as well. But a really nice job putting everything together!

    great banner but darkish indeed. but matter of tast that is. as always.

    The dark template was on purpose. Don’t see many around, or maybe I’m just not looking.

    Bump.

    You don’t tend to see many “dark” themes about because they are really hard to read – yours hurts my eyes, I’m sad to say.

    Having said that, I really like the banner and the colour of the body background. Maybe if you lightened the background of the content area and the sidebar it would work better?
