• I have not changed my password and it WON?T accept my password when I try login to my admin page. It worked fine yesterday when I was making changes to my site.

Here is the dilemma: My developer made the site for me and his email address is associated with the account. I tried to change it to mine once logged in but I never received a confirmation email from wordpress. I tried to solve this but without success!

I want my developer (who was trying to scam me before) REMOVED from my account. Please delete his email address !!

    Please HELP!
    Thanks

Check/Change Password, Username, Email in database:

    – The password is encrypted and stored in the database in the users table. To reset password, review https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    – Username is also stored in the users table. To change username, click the edit button (the pencil icon) next to your user and change what is entered into the user_login field.

You can update the admin email for your site in the wp_options table, and replace the email address in the row with the key “admin_email”.

Also, as described in this article, in WordPress, there several ways for Rsetting Your Password .

I tried to change it to mine once logged in but I never received a confirmation email from wordpress.

    – Possible reasons for not getting email see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/password-reset-not-sending-email/?view=all#post-8988847

    – Using HOTMAIL? yahoo.com rejects mail coming from www.ads-software.com.?Use?a different email provider for mail you want to receive from WordPress. Use an SMTP plugin as that might help.

    Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately none of this worked for me. I don?t have access to my datapass or cpanel. My developer set me up with this site, took my money, and dissappeared.

As the owner of Koko Val Hawaii LLC and this domain kokovalhawaii.com and the site, I request that you transfer complete ownership to me [Moderated: email address redacted].

His email address [Moderated: email address redacted] SHOULD NOT be associated with my account!!
As I mentioned earlier, a password reset email would go to him. He doesnt respond and took lots of money from me (he is located in Dubai).

No what are my options here?

Is there a way you can set up a duplicate site for me and then delete the old one?
Should I start a new wordpress website and delete this one? is this even possible?

Again, I don?t have accesses to any database, codes whatsoever. The only access I ever had was the [Moderated: Redundant link redacted] access which has been blocked since yesterday although I never changed the password.

    PLEASE HELP!

    Side not to @claudiabusta ,

Again, you posted contact email address.

Whatever, the issue you have with your developer is between you and your developer. We have nothing to do with that.

As the owner of Koko Val Hawaii LLC and this domain kokovalhawaii.com and the site, I request that you transfer complete ownership to me [Moderated: email address redacted].

www.ads-software.com does not provide hosting for sites, it provides the software for other people to use their own sites on their own hosts.

In short, we don’t actually run your site or have any form of control over it in any way. So *you* must resolve your problem, because nobody here can do anything to your site, in any way whatsoever.
