My WP Menu Cart adds extra euros in the menu

    Hi Ewout,

    Recently, since I changed the tax settings for my website (to show prices incl. VAT) the WP menu cart has difficulties to show the correct prices. the menu cart adds an extra amount to the prices of the products and sometimes it corrects itself to the correct price. however I require for my customers that the prices are always 100 % correct.

    for example, when I add a product of 1650 euro, it shows 1710,14 euro?

    Do you have any idea how this can be, as in the wp menu settings there is no setting that influences the price.

    Hello Peter,
    I just checked your site but it looks like WP Menu Cart is now disabled, is that correct?

    By default, the plugin outputs what WooCommerce returns as the cart total (‘cart_contents_total’). Either including or excluding tax, based on your WC settings. It doesn’t make any calculations, but the cart total also includes fees. Some payment gateways add fees and if they are even added when the customer is not in the checkout yet, this would also be reflected in the Menu Cart total. In the next plugin update we have an option for this, where you can choose between subtotal (which is the total of just the products in the cart) or total (including fees).

    Is it possible that the 60,14 euro is a payment gateway fee (3.5% being what PayPal charges, that sounds plausible to me)? Are you using a plugin to charge these fees to the customer?

    @peterzzzzzz I just released an update for the plugin (2.7.0) that lets you choose between displaying the total (including fees) or subtotal (total of products). Let me know if you still have this issue after updating and setting the plugin to ‘subtotal’!
