My WP site disappeared!!!???

  • I opened my wordpress site and it’s simply gone. No explaination. A few hours ago I was there and writing a post. I saved it as a draft. Now, hours later I return and the site no longer exists. The message “It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.” appears, just as it does when a new install is performed.

    I checked my server and all the files are still there. I downloaded the 50 mb plus as a backup. I checked my MYsql and the tables/database are still there but I don’t know how to back that up unfortunately. I assume that’s where each individual post resides.

    Nonetheless, I don’t know what’s happened. Anyone got a clue? And what should I do now? No, I have not run the INSTALL.PHP again.

    No, sorry. That’s my ‘membership’ blog. The one in question is private. Nonetheless, the “It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.” message still appears. I just cut and pasted that seconds ago.

    Any ideas? I believe the problem lies within the database but I don’t know how to repair something there.

    I’ve just clicked on several files within MySQL and each time I click a table from the ‘sick’ WP site, it has an error, whereas other blogs I have which are also saved in the same database have no errors when clicked on within MySQL.

    That’s all I know thus far. Thanks for the quick feedback.
