    Hello, thanks for the community.

I have installed the WooCommerce core within WordPress on my local environment. The store app recognizes the admnistrator logged in as a customer of the store, which is not intended. In fact we need to test the app by simulating a user interface, with Login/Logout/Register sections. I tried out with plugins like User Role Editor but it stills unclear a little bit.. I would apprecite to be enlighten on the best approach to fix this inconsistency.

Thanks so much for the attention.

    Hello izanoth,

Thank you for contacting Woo support.

It’s expected behavior that an administrator can act as a customer and place orders while logged in. However, suppose you want to experience the flow exactly as a customer would. In that case, the best approach is to create a separate account with a customer role, rather than using your administrator account.

You can do this without the need for any plugins:
    – Register a new user on the site (use a different email than the administrator account).
    – Log in with that customer account to simulate the user interface and test the Login/Logout/Register sections as a customer.

If this doesn’t align with what you’re trying to achieve, could you please provide more details about your specific goal? That will help me offer more targeted guidance.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hello @doublezed2 ,

    Thanks for response.

In fact, I did it already.

You can check an updated thread on https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/local-env-and-user-roles/ where I explain in more details.

Even I log with another profile, it is done from WordPress index page firstly, which falls us on the same issue. The intend is to simulate a customer experience in the store and only this, regardless the wordpress itself.

Thanks so much for your attention.

    Hey, @izanoth!

Please note that it is better to not create multiple threads on the same (or very similar) topic as it can create issues and cross information.

Since you shared more details about your issue on the other thread, let’s keep that other one open and I’ll close this one, okay?

This way things can be organizes ??

Someone on our support team should reply there soon.

    Have a wonderful day!
