mybb & wordpress combination remove subfolder from url

  • Hi,

    at the moment i try to combine a wordpress-blog with a forum. Since the forum exists for some years, it is accessible from https://tdl.de. Now i installed wordpress in a subfolder tdl.de/news/ in order to publish news there. Now i would also like to publish howtos with wp. The URL at the moment would be tdl.de/news/howto/XXX. Since this doesn’t look nice, i would like to rewrite the url to tdl.de/howto/xxx

    I assume this should be possible via htaccess or something else. But i can’t figure it out.
