mysite.net/ — takes me to index of?

I’ve read that people have had this issue often? I followed an online tutorial on getting a host for my www.ads-software.com website. I type in the url mysite.net/, that brings me to a link with index of as the text. That link brings me to a subdomain, mysite.net/wordpress Any simple solutions?
