Okay, obvious newbie question, but here goes. I want to create a blog for MySchool because MySpace is a bit too “open” in its format.

How close can WP realistically get?
    I’m open to suggestions.

I’ve already looked at b2evolution, Nucleus, Moodle, and now WordPress and there doesn’t seem to be any EASY answers.

    Thanks,

    Try https://www.bryght.com/

As I understand it, for $40/month, they enable multi-user community blogs and sites.

They are built on the open-source Drupal project. I have no affiliation with either, I just saw them at SxSW in Austin this week.

I’m one of the guys from over at the mu forums. WPMU is chosen quite often for educational setups. I think there are about 20 or so colleges using it at the moment.
