I have been having an issue where WF takes down my database server due to heavily loads, what can I do to correct this?

MySQL service was consuming 16% avg RAM over the past hour that eventually chocked memory and caused the server to crash.

I can submit an image with the top queries and load statistics.

    Thanks,
    Greg

Please go to (Wordfence > Tools => Diagnostics) and click on “Send Report by Email” button at the top of the page, you can send the report to “alaa [at] wordfence [dot] com”, make sure to include your forum username, I will take a look at this report and let you know my findings.

    Hi Greg,

I’ve checked the report and I couldn’t find something that needs to be modified that could be related to this issue, in general I suggest increasing the “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT” to something like 256M following this guide, you might also try to disable “Live Traffic” and see how it goes.

Finally, I suggest checking the server error log file for any error that might be related to this issue and if you have any screenshot showing memory usage or MySQL performance charts that refers to Wordfence as a huge consumer, please share it.

    Thanks.

    Hi Greg,

I checked the graph image you sent and I couldn’t see anything referencing Wordfence s being the culprit here, if you can contact your web host asking them for more details regarding the database queries that caused this load, that might help in narrowing down this issue. Also, did you follow my previous suggestions? do you see any improvements?

    Thanks.

All has been well and I kept the settings static so it must have been an anomaly. I’ll let you know if it reoccurs. Thanks for your help.
