MySQL Problem on Install

  • I know it’s been cited before, but I can’t seem to find the answer in the old threads… I’m getting the following error when I try to run the install for WordPress.

    “Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.”

    It is located at:

    https://www.i9creative.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php

    I’m using a server with the following setup:

    Apache/2.0.63 (Unix)
    PHP 5.2.9
    MySQL 4.1.22 (I think)

    I’m not a server master by any stretch, but I have full access to WHM for my server and can make changes through cPanel if I have a pretty good explanation.
