MySQL server has gone away

    I am trying to restore a site from uploaded backup files and keep getting this error repeatedly at the database install:

    An error (22452) occurred: – MySQL server has gone away – the database query being run was: /*!40101 SET @OLD_CHARACTER_SET_CLIENT=@@CHARACTER_SET_CLIENT */;

    Please help! This is the only backup copy of this site that I have. ??

    Hi,

    Can you please check if the MySQL server is up and running?

    Restoration process can stall/halt depending upon the total backup size and available server configuration, PHP timeouts can stall/halt the restoration process.

    If you are trying to restore all backup sets at once, instead I’ll suggest you to restore each backup set one by one i.e. First restore Plugins > Themes > Uploads > Others and at the end restore the database.
