I love the functionality and the stylish design of the plugin, but unfortunately I am close to giving up.

It seemed that a former problem had to do with the characters of the url. But now I have on one page a link like: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/something/somethingelse.mp3 and it works and another link with the same structure on another page and it does not work.

The only visible difference is that the working link has also a video on the page, where as the failing link has some other audio shortcodes on it for a another plugin which is deactivated. Are these shortcodes the problem? I suppose not because I published the link on a fresh page with nothing on it and it does not work. I updated my test site to WP 4.0 and it does not work either there.

I can′t find a consistent error pattern and I am close to giving up. Any helpful hints?

    Thanks,
    Demian

I have now realized that there is a slight difference. The link that works looks like this:
    https://s3.amazonaws.com/something/somethingelse.mp3

The link that does not work looks like this:
    https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/something/somethingelse.mp3

Could the “s3-eu-west-1.” part be the problem?

    Hi,
If you give me the url of the page I can give it a look and came back to you with an answer…

Althought the path to the audio file is quite sensible to special characters the URL you are exposing doesn’t seams to have something particular. Does the filename has space or accented words on it?

    Hi Mateo,

I had given up, but I like the look and feel of your plugin so much, that I am trying again. Here you see two mp3 links. The only difference I can see, is that the first has the s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com part, the other not.

    Please help,
    Thanks, Demian

You should check if the server that is serving the audio that doesn’t work is setting the correct mime-type; I think you can verify that from the admin panel of AS3 service.

Hi Matteo, it seems that it is a combination of the Amazon region and the url characters that causes the issue.

If I get the issue again. I will open a new ticket. Thanks, Demian
