A lot of ppl using Facebook Comments gets a strange message in red color in different languages on their website.

    The message in english is

“SECURITY WARNING: Please treat the URL above as you would your password and do not share it with anyone.”

    And in spanish

“AVERTISSEMENT DE SéCURITé : traitez l’URL ci-dessous comme un mot de passe et ne la partagez avec personne.”

If i inactivate Facebook Comments it disappears. I have found no solution to remove the annoying text but ppl is speculating on different forums that this security message is a result from a conflict between the plugin and a major security update from Facebook. Anyone have a solution how to fix this?

When i deactive this plugin error text disappear.
Strange thing is that this text error appear only in specific pages or srticles.

Same here, it only appears on certain post. Any solution ?

Yeah, it splattered red text all over my site too. Reading your comments, I went to my “Share This” plugin and switched off the Facebook like button in the plugin’s control panel and it went away.
Looks like some French hacker has found a way to compromise Facebook in some way ?? Or is it the plugin code?

Facebook’s official plugin was updated yesterday and seems to have resolved this problem for me. It was nothing malicious, just apparently related to some change in how Facebook handles API calls.

If you’re using some plugin for Facebook integration other than the official one, look for an update of that.
