When someone visits jewlicious.com clicking to read an article, on a menu bar item or any internal link does… nothing. If you right click and select “open in new tab” or “open in new window” it works but otherwise? Zilch. Obviously, this is bad. Any ideas as to what might be causing this and how it can be fixed would be greatly appreciated!

When I click on the URL you provided, I get the following error in FF:

Thanks for checking! The site comes up fine now. Must have been a momentary blip (thanks GoDaddy!)

More details on the error: External links on the page work fine.

I don’t even know what just happened. I checked my files and saw that robots.txt was set to block all robots. I also saw that I had so sitemap file all of a sudden. I turned off and turned on some plugins and now everything works. https://www.jewlicious.com/sitemap.html now shows a sitemap and I updated robots.txt to allow crawling by robots. I also noticed that I was deindexed by Google while all this links-don’t-work thing was going on – that’s kind of what made me poke around – I noticed in my stats that I was getting no hits from Google – weird for a site that has over 8,000 posts and has been around for like 17 years and is updated regularly. Anyhow, it seems as if everything is working as it should now (though I’d appreciate anyone checking just in case).

But seriously though, wtf just happened???
