First, let me say I’m really impressed with this plugin and have hopes it will become my go-to block plugin. It seems the most comprehensive in the options available of all the block plugins I’ve tried. My goal is to develop a site that uses zero css. I’ve been writing css for years, including child themes with over 2,000 lines of css. I want to see how much faster and effective I could be if I became fluent with this approach.

That said, I’m converting a site over to a child theme of 2023 using just Greenshift. (I worry using a number of block plugins will introduce conflicts.) This site had a really nice first-page animation I’ve tried installing as custom html. You can see how it should look at https://signageindustries.com/ In the conversion, however, linked above, there are black margins creeping in everywhere, rather than images that fill all the spaces completely. I’ve gone through every tag, every settings in the template, on the page itself and can’t find where it’s coming from.

Would you have a clue what’s causing this? This test page is using the ‘clean canvas’ template. I’ve tried every other one with no change to this problem.

Next, I’ll try creating this from blocks and see how that goes. In the meantime, maybe I’ll come to understand what’s causing this problem. I’ve always checked with Twenty Twenty Three support but haven’t heard anything back after five days.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thank you for your words. I also want to tell you that Greenshift doesn’t affect speed of site (because it takes very small memory usage comparing to other plugins). So, you don’t need to worry about usage several gutenberg addons.

Now, about your problem. Most of gutenberg themes have default gap between blocks. And it’s correct. Imagine that you place two blocks under each other. Without predefined gap, everything will stick together.

In Greenshift, this can be fixed by setting 0 margin in spacing options.

Also, if you use Block theme, then you can remove gaps in Appearance – Site Editor – Style editor – Layout – Block Spacing
