    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Most likely this is not an issue with the import of such characters but with the export of the characters in the program that is generating the CSV file. If the characters are not in the CSV file, TablePress can obviously not import them.
Can you therefore please check if these characters are in the CSV file, by opening it with a text editor, like Notepad? It’s also import that the file is saved with the UTF-8 character encoding.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,

Thank you for your help. I have opened the CSV files and they have the ? characters. I generated the CSV files using MS Excel as I needed to perform an Excel operation to clean up the data, before saving them into CSV files.

How does one save the file with UTF-8 character encoding using MS Excel?

    Hi,

I’m not sure if saving with UTF-8 encoding is possible in Excel, but if the characters are visible in Notepad, it should be possible to just save the file as UTF-8 there, via “File” -> “Save as”. Can you please try that and then import the table again?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,

I re-saved the CSV files using Notepad and with UTF-8, and voila, the problem is solved. Thank you so much for your help. As soon as I get my next Adsense payment I’ll make sure to send some your way. ??

    Thanks,
    Luis
