\n for every line in product description

    Hi,

    Why does woocommerce put \n for every line in the product description, as this is not needed i think?
    I can remove them with an export import in woocommerce. but when changing a product it puts the \n again everywhere?

    Is this happening with every product that is imported? That sounds like the products are being imported from an external source (e.g. another supplier page) please correct me if I am wrong.

    To clarify, can you tell me how the products are being added to your site?

    To check much better into this, please provide the following information:

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if any).

    Hi,

    I just do an standard product export in woocommerce. Open it in notepad++ and then i see the \n everywhere at the start of almost every line. When i import the same file, and then export again and open it in notepad++ there are now two: \n\n
    No external sources or plugins used. i added status below code and no error logs.
    I now removed all \n and imported, after that export with only id,sku,description and open in notepad++ and it differs per product, one only has now \n before normal text, other has \n before every line as you can see???:

    No notepad++ is not causing this. I use google sheets editor and openoffice also. Same result. If you want i can add a video to show it or i can share a sample file?

 	<li>100 - 130 CM: Een bokszak voor alleen stoten. Door het het gewicht hangt deze bokszak nog behoorlijk stabiel.</li>
 	<li>80 - 90 CM: Een bokszak voor kinderen t/m 12 jaar.</li>
 	<li>60 - 70 CM: Een junior bokszak voor kinderen t/m 8 jaar.</li>

<h3>Op welke hoogte moet de bokszak bevestigd worden?</h3>

 	<li>De bovenkant van de bokszak dient ongeveer 10 CM hoger te hangen dan uw eigen lengte.</li>
 	<li>De bevestigingsketting van de bokszak heeft een lengte van 30 CM.</li>

 	<li>Bepaal eerst de juiste hoogte.</li>
 	<li>Bevestig de bokszak met een plafondbeugel op een plafond van beton of hout. Niet gechikt voor dunne- of gipsplafonds!</li>
 	<li>Gebruik M8 houtschroeven of M8 keibouten.</li>
 	<li>Als de bokszak iets te hoog komt te hangen, koop dan een stuk ketting om te bevestigen tussen de beugel en de bevestigingsketting.</li>
 	<li>Als het plafond te hoog is, kies dan voor een ophangbeugel aan de muur.</li>

    Hi there,

    This is what I see when I open your link.

    It happens when someone first downloads the file. It will then be deleted from their servers.

    Please use https://ufile.io/ which will retain the file even on multiple downloads. Dropbox/Google drive works too.

    Hi,
    So i uploaded two files. One is the import csv with id,sku and description. And one the export after i imported the import file. No changes are made and also you can see it differs per product where and how many \n are added.
    There are only two products in this file.

    Hi, thanks i understand, but why is this not consistent? it puts /n’s different for different products as you can see.
    If it is by design it should be consistent i think?

    I think I’m having a similar issue… I’ve exported my products and whenever in the description of the product there’s a new line, in the CSV file it also creates a new line, which messes up the entire CSV. Some other things happens as well where there are empty lines and etc. I don’t know how to fix this…
