Name of guest author is not displayed, though the corresponding URL is ..

    I have specified a guest author for a post, but instead of the name of this guest author, my own name is still given. However, clicking on my name leads to the URL that belongs to the guest author. What is going wrong?
    I am using the Extra theme from Divi

    Unfortunately, Divi being a paid-only theme, we can’t test our plugin with it. I suggest contacting Divi support.

    We use the standard WordPress filter, the_author, to change the author name. But if the theme retrieves the author data by a non-standard method directly from the database then it would get the normal author details ??

    To call a problem solved by saying that you can’t test the theme because it’s not free is simply cheeky. Divi is not that rare on the market, is it? I’d rather find another solution for guest posts. Thanks for nothing.
