Name of homepage includes a post title "post title – sitename"

Hi. I’m a newbie here so please be specific with advice if possible. I’ve found that this plugin is the culprit in this situation by disabling it and re-enabling it.

The title bar includes one of my post names. When I delete the post, the title bar changes to another post title. Example: “Post title – Sitename”.
I’ve tried other solutions from a few years ago but nothing seems to fix it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
