    Thank you- everyone’s been so helpful. Hope to be able to return the favor.

    I don’t know if this is an option I’ve somehow turned off but I’d like to have the name of the site across the very top, above the menu items (or above both the menu items and site logo).

    My site is https://www.IvyStandup.com. I’d like it to say The Ivy League of Comedy in big letters at the top of very page.

    You can certainly do it that way, that is done with a plugin not part of wordpress standard.
    I’m only looking for a suggestion of why you would be seeing different results. pt instead of px can possibly have different results based on the browser and OS

    If you for example what the standard font size to be 14px then you can set that in your theme options > typography settings. Body font.

    Then if you removed all the inline style you could leave those items to be set by the body font.
