Native Footnotes support needed.

  • It would be nice if WordPress provided native footnotes support for posts, since it becomes pretty difficult to annotate reference material through plugins, as there is no standard support.

    A simple [footnote] Footnoted Text [/footnote] tag would be very useful, as this is pretty much supported in various php forum posts that I have experienced.
