native galleries badly unorganized on server

I use twenty ten, and id like to use wps native galleries cause i like that each picture can be commented on seperately, but i cant seem to have the pictures in there relavent folders on my server, they all need to be in one folder, because i need to use the upload feature, which places them all one one folder, if i upload a new set every week i want them to be first set in folder, Set1, then the next time i upload another set, in Set2,. etc. next gen allows this because you can import so it links to where they are already located, but users cannot comment on each picture.. when you try to, the comment is left on all pictures within category, ,, any way to use native galleries but keep pictures on server in folders of my choice?
