Nav and header size change

  • There are two things on the header where the nav is (the see threw background) I would like to make larger – but no matter what I do I can not make it larger to fit –

    #athena-header.frontpage .header-inner{
    height: 115px;
    }

    I have tried that and it wont work –

    Also I want to get rid of the search feature on the nav
    and I would like to make the images on the slider smaller but the code wont work any suggestions ?
