Nav Menu Roles: Working correctly except for home page

  • Good day,

    I have set-up my menus using nav menu roles. When I navigate through the site, the menu displays correctly according to the role of the user logged in. But it does not on the home page. How do I fix this?

    Hi Lorraine,

    The problem is possibly with your theme, with a conflicting plugin, or with caching. I can’t really tell you how to fix the issue as I can’t know which of those is the problem, but I can assure you that when NMR “stops working” it’s always one of those 3 things. I would recommend that you create a staging site (using a plugin like WP Staging) and then go through the following debugging process:

    1. Disable any caching
    2. Switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen
    3. Disable other plugins one at a time and re-test.
