Navagation menus at the top of the main page

  • Hi, I’m new to wordpress. my theme is a photo site theme and I’m having difficulties figuring out how to make navigation menus beside my page name, and some will have children.

    I’m not sure if I messed up the default pages since I’ve been doing a lot of learning.

  • To make a menu navigation you need to look under appearance > Menus.
    Once you’ve created your menu, you can drag and drop the pages you want to be included. You may also need to specify what menu is to be used where (this is theme dependent as some come with more than one). There should be a drop down on the left once you’ve created a menu.

    Have a look in there and see if that helps. If not, can you provide a link to your site please?
