Hi and thank you in advance for the support.
I’m using Hestia on a site based on a linux server through Aruba.
The problem relies in the navbar (the one with the title incorporated). When I see the preview and I scroll the page it does function normally (the backgound become white from transparent and the text become black), but if then I approve the changes and visualize the website, when I scroll down the navbar remains transparent, the text stay white so it cease to be visible.
Also, if I open a page different from the front-page, everything is alright and the bar stay white.
I don’t know where to start

Problem is the site is still under construction so it can’t be let to be public, so I’m covering it with a Coming Soon page. Anyway, it is https://www.alessandrogerosa.it.
I’ll try to explain it more clearly: Hestia theme visualize a navbar, in which there is the title of the website at left and optional menu at right.
The navbar is builded to be trasparent when at the top of the page, and to become white when scrolling down on the frontpage.
My problem is actually that if I scroll the page in preview mode the navbar becomes white and is all ok, but in the real website if I scroll the frontpage the navbar stays trasparent not changing to white background color.
I also tried to delete and re-install the theme, but nothing happened.
    Thank you another time

Are you using a child theme? I had a similar problem when switching one of my sites over to Hestia last night. While the navbar performed correctly under the Hestia theme, my child-theme navbar preformed oddly.

What I found was that Hestia requires a special functions.php for a child theme. The generic functions.php that normally is used for a child theme doesn’t work properly with the navbar.

If you’re using a child theme, get your functions.php file from here: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/656-how-to-create-a-child-theme-for-hestia

Thank you very much cgscomputers, but unfortunately I was not using a child theme. I tried anyway to create it and to do as you did but neither worked ??

@btmaster I think you took the wrong topic!

    Hello @agerosa91,

I had a look on your website and it seems you have added a custom code to hide the navbar after scroll. Also, you are using an old version of the theme so I’d recommend you update the theme to the latest version.

If it doesn’t work after the update then there might be a plugin conflict issue Deactivate all the plugins and check if that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find which one is creating the problem.

Hope it helps and let me know if you require any further assistance.
