• I’ve “inherited” this WordPress site… but cannot, for the life of me, find out how to make the navbar dropdown menu display online and on mobile screens. I use three browsers to check my client sites… the menu icon shows up, but does not display the text version of the menu in the navbar. Desperate to find out why not?!!! I’ve looked in the css, etc. but can’t find an answer! Need some suggestions.

    What menu icon are you referring to?

    I can say that when I visit the site I do get some JavaScript errors. This may or may not be the reason or part of the reason it may not be working. Hard to know for certain though.

    The menu “icon”…the three horizontal lines that almost everyone uses now.
    I did learn that it will disappear and the actual navbar items will display if you widen your screen…. thing is, it would seem that not everyone knows that! GO figure.
    However, the mobile screen doesn’t behave that way…. still can’t open the menu “icon” to see the main categories.
    Re: the js scripts… I know. I inherited this setup and really don’t know what to change in the js scripts!

    Yes, it looks like the JavaScript error is what is making it so that the button does not work.

    What theme are you using and where did you get it from?

    If it was from https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ their respective support would be https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/{theme-name-here}

    If not, you would have to reach out to the theme’s author in their respective support channel.

    Appreciate your responses! The original webmaster used a Themeco theme, “X”…. and I will reach out to them to see if I can get any answers.
    BTW… I am pretty familiar with javascript…. where in the setup could I look for the js files?
    And they said WordPress would be easy!

    Unfortunately I don’t know how they structure their code so I can’t give a definitive answer.

    The only thing I can say one of the errors is coming from this file: framework/js/dist/site/x-body.min.js
