    Hi All,

The Navbar menu is missing from users profile page.

To replicate the issue – using fresh wordpress version 6 OR 5.9.3 installed from either Softalicious or Installatron from my cPanel.

    Steps:
    1. Install Buddypress (Version 10.3.0 )
    2. Install Youzify (Version 1.2.0)
    3. Navigate to Youzify > Profile Settings > Tabs Settings
    4. Click Save (Note: Whether you made changes or not, the issue still occurs.

Now once you’ve done this, you can no longer see the Navbar menu on a users profile page. Where previously it would show things like: Overview/Info/Media/Activity/Posts/Comments.

    Hello @bughead

    Thanks for reaching us

We did a test on our testing website but can not replicate this issue. The tabs are working fine. There might be something why this issue happens on your website. Can you send me a screenshot or screencast, please?

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

Thanks for the quick response. Where can I send you a video?

I also tried today downloading the WordPress 6 package directly and following this guide to install it. https://phoenixnap.com/kb/how-to-install-wordpress-in-cpanel

This is instead of using the inbuilt cPanel installers.

    The issue is still there.

I want to also note, I don’t make any other server changes, which means I’m using the default theme (Twenty Twenty-Two), as well as the default plugins are installed but not active: “Akismet Anti-Spam” and “Hello Dolly”

I’m also using the inbuilt wordpress “Plugins” page to download and install/active the plugins Buddypress and Youzify.

Does your setup differ from that in any way?

I compared the SQL before and after clicking save. The only thing I can see different that’s related is the following:

The Below is added where previously didn’t exist:

    Within [INSERT INTO wp_options (option_id, option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES]
    ——————————————————-

    (230, 'youzify_active_styles', 'a:4:{i:0;s:29:\"youzify_pagination_text_color\";i:1;s:27:\"youzify_pagination_bg_color\";i:2;s:35:\"youzify_pagination_current_bg_color\";i:3;s:37:\"youzify_pagination_current_text_color\";}', 'no'),
    (231, 'youzify_profile_tabs', 'a:7:{s:8:\"overview\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}s:4:\"info\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}s:5:\"media\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}s:8:\"activity\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}s:5:\"posts\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}s:8:\"comments\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}s:9:\"bookmarks\";a:2:{s:10:\"visibility\";s:3:\"off\";s:4:\"icon\";s:0:\"\";}}', 'no');

    ——————————————————-

Manually updating my SQL DB to replace the values above to “on” enables those menu items again.

Anytime I go back in to the Youzify > Profile Settings > Tabs Settings, and make ANY changes and click save, the config gets wiped and replaced with the SQL entry I shared above.

So currently the only way for me to edit this Tabs Settings page is directly through SQL.

I’m happy to have a session to recreate the issue for you guys if you want to test.

    Hi @bughead

You can upload the video to Dropbox or Google Drive and send the link here.

Also, please try to disable Youzify but keep BuddyPress active. And see if the BuddyPress tabs are working fine or not on the Profile Page.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

Hello @kainelabsteam it appears to be this problem is also occurring with me just like @bughead I have observed that deactivating Youzify brings back the navbar, however, installing the Youzify hides the entire navbar on the profile. Has there been any solution to this problem yet?

I hate to say this but purchasing the premium youzify resolved the issue for me. I only experienced this issue on the free version of youzify.

@kainelabsteam – did you test on a premium build or the free build?

    Hi @bughead @shaunj

I tested it with the Free version. Kindly check this screencast

Please make sure to select Default Tab on the tabs settings.

    Hi @kainelabsteam ,

I see in your video there are many other plugins and customisations.
Earlier on in this thread I outlined how I reproduced with fresh installs only.
Were you ever able to install a fresh copy and only install buddypress > youzify to test?

    Hi @bughead

I will cross-check this with our dev team

Hi @kainelabsteam I have tried your screencast and unfortunately, it didn’t work. However, I found that all the tabs in the Tabs Settings had their “Display Tab” unchecked. I switched them on for the Overview and Info tab and after saving them, they again got unchecked. Then I tried checking other Tabs checked along with the Overview and Info, when saving all of them again got their “Display Tab” setting unchecked again.

    Hello @shaunj

    Sorry for the inconvenience

Seems it’s a bug from our side. Our dev team is investigating it. Once we have a solution, we will upload the fixed version asap. ??
