Hi, I need help with my navigation menu showing the active color wrongly. When I first load the website or click on a page, the color loads accurately. However, when I click to go to another page, the active color stays on the previous page and doesn’t change to show the current page. Hover works fine. I used the Elementor Header & Footer Builder Plugin to build my website header and navigation menu.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I’m just here to say I was about to log the same bug. This is only a problem since the latest update. It is a problem on the latest version of Elementor as well as the previous version. (I tested it on a backup I had). Hopefully an update with a fix can be rolled out soon. From what I gather the current-menu-item is not recognised correctly.

Ah, in a way glad that I’m not alone in this! For a moment, I thought I had done something terribly wrong to cause the issue, but I’ve not added any additional CSS codes to the menu at all!

Have you been able to resolve the issue?

I logged an official ticket on Brainstorm force’s site on the 4th of September. I’m still waiting on a reply but sure the guys are working hard to fix this.

Having the same issue in Version 3.23.4

@logicinn can you share a link to the logged ticket?

As a workaround, you can disable any styling for the Active menu state as well as any link hover effects: https://prnt.sc/ZBYKbBgZKdod

Not sure if you will be able to see it as you need to be logged in but herewith the ticket link: https://help.brainstormforce.com/help/3209315858/auth

They did reply and is looking into it at the moment.

I am facing the same issue after the recent update. Two CSS classes .current-menu-item and .current_page_item always stays with the first item of the menu, in my case it’s the HOME.

And that’s why it is not showing the color to the active page.

I think we can follow the bug status on the plugin’s github:?https://github.com/brainstormforce/header-footer-elementor/issues/879

@olegmastriukov Thanks, good idea. It works. But now I can’t load the preview in Elementor. So we have to wait for the bug fix. ??

Just an update: The team at Brainstorm Force has been able to replicate the problem and their developers are currently working on a fix after which they will include it in an official update.
