Navigation not working with Cross Fade

Hi, I have a slideshow set to Cross Fade. The back/next arrows and pagination bullets do not work consistently with this transition type selected. They work with all other transition types, and they occasionally/sporadically work with Cross Fade. I found a couple of threads about this issue, with no resolution. Do you know if there a solution for this?
