I have no idea what I messed up. When I check my site outside of the editor, my navigation block isn’t leading to my blog, and I’ve updated that block with the URL for it. Something very fundamental is wrong that I cannot figure out.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @pickfetishx351. It looks like your homepage is set to “blog”, that is, to show your recent posts there. This would explain whey the “blog” link take to your homepage.

What is the URL you would like the “The Blog: Our Guitar, Bass, and Mandolin Pick Reviews” menu link to take to. Also, in general, what is the site structure you had in mind?

Hi, so I was trying as many things as I could figure out to get it to work, and I tried setting the site to be main page of the blog to see if that would work and it didn’t.

I want the Posts page to be navigable, that is the problem. When I go to the page for the posts blog, the page is messed up, but the posts alternate still exists and works. I’m throughly confused and panicked because my site is essentially half down.

what do you nean by site structure

By site structure do you mean this: Home page is pickfetish.com and then everything under that, my static pages and my blog. The first thing people should see is my home page.

The posts page is -The Blog: Our Guitar, Bass, and Mandolin Pick Reviews

Now the page that is supposed to take you to the blog somehow is no longer complete, but the theme blog alternate is still there and working. I don’t understand this, the site never took people to that blog page, only right to the blog alternate setup. And I wanted it that way, so it was ok.

My site was fine just a few days ago, and then when I checked the other morning, it was broken and I tried a dozen things to fix it on my own.

When I try and add the possible right URL to the main page navigation block, it replaces it with one that repeats the home page as a subpage and then sub from that the blog page, and I’m confused by that, it won’t let me manually change it.

Also, 10web Cache can’t clear, there is some unknown error and it wan’t me to manually clear the cache and I don’t know how to do that. I did clear my cloudflare cache though

Thank you for sharing more details. It looks like you edited some of your templates and likely removed the part where the posts are displayed.

The fastest way to restore/fix your site would be to reset these customizations. Before you do this, please bear in mind that this might also reset some other things about your design but, given the confusion, it’s probably best to reset it and try again from scratch.

Ok so, in order to reset it, you will want to go to Editor > Templates > Manage All Templates. Once there, click on the little three dots to the right of the Home template and select the “Clear customizations” option.

I have recorded a video to illustrate these steps:

Once your site’s layout customizations have been cleared, please visit your site to see if things have come back to “normal”.

Also, if you plan to make edits to your templates in the future, please bear in mind that your blog page needs to have a Query Loop Block (this is where posts are listed), as seen below:

Please let me know if the info above helps us in the right direction ??

Are you referring to the 10Web Booster? If so, please open a separate thread on the plugin’s forum, the plugin authors will get back to you.

    Good luck!

You, sir, and all your compatriots here, are Gods! Thou hast saved me from the wrath of the dragon software flame. Now I’m trying to recall how I did that.

HOw do I remove that “Mindblown…” passage? I can’t find it in my blog Alterntive Template or the blog page.

That’d be your “Home” template. Please let me know if you have trouble locating it.
