I have a site which I made with Dreamweaver, and I added a WordPress page to it. I’m using the default Twenty Ten template, which I tweaked just a bit to add my own background color.

The default setting comes with a horizontal navigation bar with two buttons, “Home” and “About.” I want to change the “home” link so it links to my Dreamweaver index.html page, leave the “About” link, and then add links to the other Dreamweaver pages.

My original thought was just to go into the code for the current nav bar, change the one link and add the others. Only I cannot for the life of me figure out where the code for the nav bar is. I swear I have looked all over.

So I followed the directions in the “Creating Horizontal Menus” Codex, and was able to add links, but they didn’t appear in the current bar and the links themselves did not work. I added them thus:

I know a little bit of html code, but the php thing is new to me and I’m pretty confused at this point. Can anybody tell me what I’m doing wrong?

The site is at https://www.cassandrachan.com, and the WordPress page is under the “Updates” link.

    Thanks!

  • Try using the custom menu option in Admin/Appearance/Menus.

I had tried that before and something extremely weird happened, but I just tried again and voila! A navigation bar! Thanks so much!
