• Works great with WP 3.9, seems simple and light weight and gives me just the right set up to write in both languages I need.
But, there are a lot of improvements that could’ve been made already, and the lack of updates worries me, because it does seem like the developers have forgotten about Stella.

I wish they could make it easier for developers and people who are not quite there to add custom content that we need translated.
Possibly, expand the default translations to Author Bio (since author boxes are a must-have these days) would be great.

Just minor tweaks, because I don’t ever want it to loose the light weight and simple feel Stella has.
It’s just a little stuck in the past right now. The last update is from 2012…
I hope they do something to it soon. It’s a dream plugin for people with multilingual sites/blogs.

  • Does this plugin gives you a possibility to do the SEO for both languages? Or did you installed another plugin for SEO purposes for both languages? many thanks up front

On the pro version there is the option of purchasing a extend to add multilingual features to the SEO by Yoast, so if you buy the pro Stella and buy the SEO by Yoast add-on and install SEO by Yoast itself you will get SEO for both languages separately. Otherwise, you will only get it for the main language.

You can have a sitemap for both languages though, there is a free plugin especially for Stella for that and it will help with search engines recognizing all your languages.

Hi Nina thanks a lot for all the info. It is so fine that you share your thoughts so I do not feel alone with that. ??

After checking the Yoast website I took a bit different conclusions on the plugins, what do you think?
SEO by Yoast free version takes care for SEO for one default language for whole site
So SEO by Yoast Premium https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo-premium/ cares just for redirect manager and integration with webmaster tools.
Local SEO by Yoast seems to care for the google maps, address company & store loc.https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/local-seo/
So the Stella Pro is caring for the other additional languages above the one default language which Yoast is covering.
So I think I have some problems in Stella plugin, maybe the link with database, as my SEO content in 2 other languages is not saving. The default language is saving fine.
