• I donwloaded the antivirus software, but all it does is email me everyday that I might have a virus problem. Apparently it’s not fixing the problem, so anyone know of a virus scanner plugin that actually solves and eliminates a virus should I have one?

thanks for any help in advance,
    Dan

  • I think for a web site, threat removal is probably going to prove to be a manual task in most cases. Although there are some specialized scripts for certain situations, web site file scanners are usually only capable of alerting you to suspicious indicators. Unlike running an Anti-Virus software intended for your computer, the inspection and repair of your web site files is probably going to be up to you.

Thanks Clayton, but looks like the virus has wiped out my wordpress blog and I’m looking for a virus scanner that can be run in the C Panel. I can’t find one, so if anyone has any info on that, please share.
Looks like wordpress blogs are now under attack.

If you get a message from anonymous, and it’s just a pic of a gr-avatar, don’t double click it. It will wipe out your blog. Plus they wrote the virus so you can’t just delete it either. Sucks.
